Best. Night. Ever. I’ve seen Taylor in concert several times but this was the first time I went alone. It went better than I could have imagined so here’s some of my top tips for smooth sailing if you are planning on taking a solo trip through the iconic eras!

1. Have A Friend Drop You Off And Pick You Up
I know to the driver this sounds like hell, but if you find a meet up spot for after the concert it will help tremendously. Even if you have to walk a block or two to get there, so many people are leaving the concert at the same time and there is a ton of security. Having a friend you trust take you to and from is the safest option for a solo trip unless you get a good deal on a close parking spot.
2. Get There Early!
There is so much to do at a Taylor Swift concert. There’s special photo booths, selfie spots, merchandise stands, and food. However, there are so many people, which means the lines are really long. Give yourself enough time to enjoy all the activities they have to offer without feeling rushed.
3. Don’t Let Anyone Ruin Your Night
You paid good money to be there. You have every right to party with Taylor just like anyone else. At my concert, these two incosiderite boys stood in the isle and blocked people who paid to sit there. When asked to move their response was “They should stand up then.” Security was on the way, but they ended up moving. Don’t let anyone ruin your experience. Be respectful and dance like nobody’s watching! Scream, cry, jump, do whatever. “The worst kind of person is someone who makes someone feel bad, dumb or stupid for like being excited about something.” – Taylor Swift
4. When You Hear ‘Applause’ By Lady Gaga, Find Your Seat
Taylor plays ‘Applause’ right before the countdown. This is your warning to get yourself together. And when you hear ‘You Don’t Own Me’ by Lesley Gore… RUN! It’s time!
Friendship Bracelets!
Something so special about (most) swifties are their sweet nature! Everyone was trading friendship bracelets and it created an amazing sense of community. I wasn’t able to make any beforehand and wish I did so I could trade with others! But despite me not having any, many people were so sweet and gave me some anyway!

Take Pictures, But Live In The Moment
I am an advocate for concert clips! I will film a few seconds and take a few pictures but put the phone up for the rest of the song. It’s easy to want to keep the moment forever and film the whole concert, but truthfully, those videos we take never live up to the expectation. We will get the official tour video soon enough. Get some memories to look back on, but don’t watch her through your screen. She’s right there! In the flesh! Look!
